Cationic polyacrylamide neutralizes the negative charges on these organic colloids, forming dense flocs that settle rapidly and dewater efficiently.

- Solution Preparation: Dissolve CPAM powder at 0.1-0.3% concentration using clean water with mechanical stirring at 200-400 rpm. Allow 45-60 minutes for complete dissolution.
- Dosage: Typical dosage is 2-10 mg/L. Conduct jar tests to determine the optimal dosage for your specific wastewater composition.
- Dosing Point: Add after primary screening and grit removal, before DAF unit or sedimentation tank for best results.
- Combined Use: For heavily loaded slaughterhouse effluent, use with PAC (100-300 mg/L) as a primary coagulant for optimal performance.
