Nickel Smelting Process Applications
  • Ore Crushing & Grinding: Nickel ore is crushed into fine particles (0.074-0.5mm) to liberate nickel minerals from gangue
  • Flotation Conditioning: Add collectors to make nickel minerals hydrophobic; then add anionic PAM to aggregate fine nickel mineral particles
  • Flotation Separation: Aggregated nickel minerals attach to air bubbles and rise to form concentrate; gangue remains as tailings
  • Concentrate Dewatering: Add non-ionic PAM to accelerate solid-liquid separation, reducing moisture content to 10%-15%
PAM Mechanism in Nickel Processing
  • Flocculation: PAM's long polymer chains adsorb onto fine nickel particles, forming large flocs that improve flotation efficiency
